Who runs this, where the permit data comes from, and what the weekly list is and is not.
After the Permit is run by LM Ventures LLC, a small Minneapolis company owned by Luke Miller. We send a free weekly email of new residential mechanical permits (furnace, AC, heat pump) sourced from Twin Cities public permit records. Today that means the City of Minneapolis only; other Twin Cities suburbs are not covered yet.

Each week we pull newly issued residential mechanical permits from the City of Minneapolis public open data portal (opendata.minneapolismn.gov). We keep home heating, cooling and heat pump work, tag each permit as heating / cooling / heat pump, and send it Monday morning with the street address, owner name when the record lists it, permit date, neighborhood and the work description.
We do not add phone numbers or buy data from brokers. Phone numbers are not in the permit records. You can see a sample on this week's list or browse the Minneapolis mechanical permits page.
These are public records, not exclusive or sold leads. Other contractors can see the same permits, and no homeowner asked for a quote. We do not guarantee jobs, replies or revenue. Public permit records can lag, change or contain errors, so check details before you reach out. After the Permit is independent and is not affiliated with the City of Minneapolis or any HVAC manufacturer.
Duct cleaning, indoor air quality, and insulation / air sealing contractors who offer the next step after a new system goes in. See HVAC leads in Minneapolis and insulation leads in Minneapolis.
